Inspiring story 🏃🏻‍♀️🏁

A remarkable achievement was celebrated at Pembrey Country Park as students from Ysgol Mynyddygarreg set a new record during a cross-country event. The competition, which attracted competitors from across Wales including Commonwealth athletes, saw the village school's students matching the professional runners' pace throughout the challenging course.

Despite the windy conditions across the open fields, the Ysgol Mynyddygarreg students maintained their impressive performance. What makes this achievement particularly special is that every student who participated from the school managed to finish 💪and kept pace with the professional runners with times ranging between 7:35 and 10:00 minutes, putting them in company with seasoned athletes.

We celebrate not only those who broke PB records but everyone who participated, started, and completed the race. This outstanding performance demonstrates the indomitable spirit of the Kidwelly Black Panther 🐱👤 that lives in their hearts, showing that even a small village school can compete at the highest levels.

'Keep Believing' - these young athletes have proven what village spirit can achieve."
